What a year 2023 has been – 5 years of the Offshore Alliance.

As the year comes to a close, the Offshore Alliance celebrates 5 years of fighting for members and negotiating industry standard agreements.

Since 2018 the Offshore Alliance has negotiated over 60 Enterprise Bargaining Agreements. The Alliance has grown from one organiser and one lawyer to three organisers in 2023 and in 2024 will increase our team to five organisers, two lawyers and an industrial officer.

In 2023 our members have:

• Taken over 500 days of Protected Industrial Action;
• Improved safety standards across the industry;
• Negotiated over 60 EBAs;
• Removed sham and baseline agreements from the majority of the oil and gas industry;
• Helped us grow the union to over 3,000 members;
• Had countless wins in the Fair Work Commission and Courts; and
• Brought some of the biggest multinationals to their knees through negotiating industry standard agreements.
